Summary of Geopolitical Papers up to October 2026

  1. The world currently has inflation and a cost-of-living crisis and wars and, generally, geopolitical instability.

  2. The US under Trump wants to control the world with its military power and, at the same time, “soften” the size of its debt with inflation and reduce the debt with a digital monetary system based on the stable coin.

History

3. America created both inflation and the worldwide cost-of-living crisis and the wars today in Europe and the Middle East.

How were these problems created?

a. Continuation of Wars

Since World War II, around 1945, America set about to become the next world superpower.

Led by President Eisenhower, it set about creating military bases around the world. Many in silence. But now exposed are some 800 military bases worldwide. It is the 20 or so military bases in and around the Middle East which are a root cause for the Middle East conflict today. And indeed, the “build-up” of these bases in recent years.

The US economy relies on the perpetuation of wars. Its wealthiest citizens are investors in military weapon manufacture, sales and financing and the reconstruction businesses following wars.

Solution

Get the USA to pull out all its military bases. They are simply not needed today.

The 8 billion people who live in the world in 2026 want to live in peace and abide by decisions made by wise persons with political diplomacy and accept all political systems.

The people will accept such decisions and live and adapt to living with people with different customs and social orders and in different political systems and religions by mindsets which are understanding, tolerant, and seek consensus and peace rather than conflict and war.

The way to achieve this objective is with a restructured and reconfigured United Nations.

The United Nations Charter was written by wise and intelligent persons some 80 years ago who, through first-hand experience, saw the futility and horror of war.

Sadly, America and the world of nations have let that beginning fail. The United Nations is today a hopelessly weak entity, completely usurped by the USA.

It today still does not even have an army, navy or air force.

Its objective should be threefold:

(i) To resolve conflict between 2 or more countries.

(ii) To coordinate aid and support to countries which suffer events that require international support such as fires, floods, earthquakes, famine and pandemics and provide support to people where education, housing and food are insufficient.

(iii) To create and operate the new world monetary system - a currency whose profits can be shared by all countries in the world.

b. Inflation and Cost-of-Living Crisis

Historically, inflation commenced to be built from the time the USA, in 1971, did away with the gold standard as a support for its currency and replaced it with a fiat currency backed solely by debt.

The agreement with Middle Eastern countries, led by Saudi Arabia in 1974, to create and use the “Petro Dollar” to support the US$ (all oil trades were made in US$ and the profits made by the Middle East countries were used to buy US Treasury notes and bonds in consideration of guaranteed US military support).

Then followed “quantitative easing” (money printing from 2008-2021 involving many trillions of dollars). This was said to produce “transitory inflation”. Wars and tariffs policy have followed recently and simply increased inflation.

Today, the USA has a US$40 trillion debt problem.

How can it be repaid?

The simplest and most cost-effective way would be for the super-rich who have benefited from control of the UK monetary system for 100 years and the US monetary system since 1945 (around 200 years) to simply advance this money as a gift back to the US administration. It would not impact on their lifestyles and would provide an immediate rebalance of the US monetary system which would then be handed over to the restructured United Nations.

That is most unlikely to happen. What the US could do practically is enter into political diplomacy and let the price of gold go high enough to provide the necessary rebalance of global trade. Gold would be prohibited from being traded. At the same time, the US$ dollar would weaken to a level that allows US manufacturers to be competitive again. China's consumers

would then buy more US-manufactured goods. And so the debt imbalance fixes itself through this repricing of an asset (gold) rather than a war.

Today, we have a world conflict between the US and China (Russia and Iran and the BRICS countries who support China), which will create two different world monetary systems (maybe three if the European Union creates a third).

The new US monetary system is created with the support of a digital cryptocurrency “stable coin”. Each stable coin is guaranteed by the US government to the full value of the coin. Essentially, today, in simple language, that means that the debt of the US government and its citizens (US$40 trillion) is being supported by people around the world who use their smartphones to purchase goods or services anywhere in the world.

The BRICS group of countries, led by China, have created in opposition a digital currency which is supported by gold (physical gold). China has prohibited any paper dealings in gold since the 24th of July 2026. Currently, gold trades at around US$4,000 an ounce, but it is good policy to prohibit speculative investment in gold as it provides real support for the digital currency.

Ideally, gold (and the same could apply to silver) futures trading should be prohibited across the world and these metals used as the strong and proper support for the new world digital currency - whoever and however it evolves. But it should evolve for the benefit of all persons in the world

and not just a few. To date, the European Union remains silent - but I suspect it will create a digital euro also supported by gold very soon.

So, where does this leave the reader? Confused? I hope not, but let me bring you back to the USA and look at it today.

The United States Today

Sadly, it has been led in the last 10 years by an unwell old man in Biden who has been cruelly put to the sword by his own people. And Trump, who sadly is the worst president America has ever had - too old, yes, but more importantly, lacks the statesmanship necessary to undertake this role today.

A national politician needs to be gifted in the ability to envision an outcome and compromise his/her way to the envisioned final outcome over time. Secondly, such a statesman needs to be compassionate - needs to have a natural understanding of all persons' needs and wants, regardless of their socioeconomic standing or any other feature of any such person.

Trump has neither of these basic attributes of political leadership. Quite the opposite - he is a self-made and self-centred businessman interested in financial benefit for himself and his family. He is out of his depth in the Middle East conflict. His language and ability to communicate are embarrassingly simple.

In a nutshell, he sought to “Make America Great Again” (MAGA).

The result of one and a half terms will be told in the results of the midterm elections in November 2026. In essence, during his presidency, he has:

(i) Taken on China with simply words of dissatisfaction with China and talking up its invasion of Taiwan (another subject of history and root cause analysis for another paper) and the threat of communism.

(ii) Imposed tariffs on China and all US trading countries.

This reduces the wealth of the current manufacturer and increases the price paid for such goods by the US citizen. The only winner from tariffs is the US administration, which collects the tariff fee. But today, the US puts this money towards fighting wars.

Moreover, tariffs are inflationary. The debate was had many years ago between free traders and protectionists. The free traders won. Trump has simply made a wrong decision despite history and its evolution.

(iii) Supported Israel to an extent which is an embarrassment to any reasonable person. And when Gaza was flattened, came up with the suggestion that could only be made by a property developer, that its location made it suitable for a 7-star resort on the Mediterranean coast.

(iv) Openly and brazenly does away with accepted international law and wants to acquire, by force if necessary, Greenland and Canada.

(v) Acquired by force a horribly weak and battered Venezuela as a result of political and economic corruption. But takes the president of Venezuela by force and by way of an “act of aggression” and hence in violation of basic international law. On the premise that its president is a drug trader - no, not really, and hence not honestly. It was done to gain control of Venezuela's oil and mineral reserves that at the time were controlled and processed by China (the untold story).

(vi) Strikes Iran (in breach of international law) with a “bullseye” bomb directly on the Iran “nuclear plant” in June 2025. And then, while negotiating with Iran on 28/02/2026, again attacked Iran infrastructure (again in breach of international law). The rest is history.

Trump has used his best friend, property developer, Steve Witcoff and his property developer son-in-law to negotiate the “Memorandum of Understanding” with Iran on June 14, 2026 - US$ 300 billion in reparations, US$ 50 billion of sanctions and a 60-day “ceasefire”. The further agreement about the manufacture of nuclear warfare by Iran has not been advanced since 14th June 2026.

If Trump had not attacked Iran, the world would be in a much better place - less inflation and no oil crisis. Because the Strait of Hormuz would still be open. And since 28/02/2026, America and Iran have not talked about nuclear weapons other than Trump proclaiming such is why he attacked Iran - incredible but true.

Since 28/02/2026, or a day or so later, it has all been about the Strait of Hormuz and blockades on Iranian ports and seizure or attacks by Iran on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz or tolls for this pleasure.

(vii) The creation of the stable coin to support US debt. But just 15 months ago, Trump and his family acquired a digital monetary system involving cryptocurrency. What natural leader would do this and get away with it? Is the US going mad or is it just plain dumb? And the risk will be to all people in the world if its stable coin support system is rolled out and does not succeed.

(viii) AI - There is no desire by the American administration to slow its roll-out and understand and comprehensively review the dangers presented by AI with little or no regulation.

Conclusion

In conclusion, and put simply, America is in a financial and political mess. No one appears capable within the country to take it to a stronger level. It is therefore being left to wither and die as a world power. And, of course, the midterms will determine by vote (if not manipulated) what the people of America think of Trump in November 2026.

But today, the world has spoken. The USA stands alone (save for Israel and Argentina).

Argentina recently received a US$200 million gift from the US for its support to Trump and the administration. Talk about corrupt politics? All such has given Trump is one country of the twelve countries in South America and Venezuela.
